Overview

As a product designer at Experian Health, I was tasked with creating a comprehensive Figma prototype for our sales team. The goal was to develop a prototype that would showcase our products effectively, streamline sales presentations, and provide a seamless user experience. This case study outlines the process, challenges, and outcomes of the project.

Goals

  • Enhance Sales Presentations: Create a visually appealing and interactive prototype to demonstrate our product’s capabilities.

  • Streamline User Experience: Ensure the prototype is easy to navigate and understand for both the sales team and potential clients.

  • Flexibility: Design a scalable and adaptable prototype that can be updated as our product evolves.

Research and Planning

The project began with a thorough research phase. I collaborated with the sales team to understand their needs, pain points, and the typical flow of their presentations. Key insights included:

Expectations

Understanding what clients expect during a sales presentation.

Pain Points

Identifying areas where the current demo was lacking.

Features

Highlighting the most critical features of our products.

Design and Prototyping

Once the research phase was complete, I moved on to creating high-fidelity designs in Figma. This involved:

Interactive Elements

Implementing clickable elements and animations to create an engaging user experience.

Content Integration

Incorporating real content and data to make the prototype as realistic as possible.

Testing and Iteration

With the initial prototype ready, I conducted usability testing with the sales team. This phase helped identify any usability issues and areas for improvement. Feedback was gathered on:

  • Navigation Ease: How easily the sales team could navigate through the prototype.

  • Content Clarity: Whether the content was clear and effectively communicated our product’s value.

  • Engagement: The level of engagement and interest generated during presentations.

Based on the feedback, I made necessary adjustments and iterated on the design to ensure the final prototype met all requirements.

Becca

Final Prototype

The final prototype was a polished, interactive tool that significantly enhanced the sales team’s presentations. Key features included:

  • Interactive Dashboards: Allowing sales representatives to demonstrate product features dynamically.

  • Client-Specific Customization: The ability to tailor the presentation to specific client needs and scenarios.

  • Seamless Navigation: A user-friendly interface that made it easy to switch between different sections and content.

Conclusion & Impact

The implementation of the Figma prototype resulted in:

  • Increased Engagement: Higher levels of client engagement during sales presentations.

  • Improved Clarity: Clearer communication of product features and benefits.

  • Positive Feedback: Excellent feedback from the sales team and potential clients, leading to more effective sales pitches.

This project was a significant achievement in my career as a product designer at Experian Health. It demonstrated my ability to understand user needs, translate them into a functional design, and create a tool that adds real value to the sales process. The successful completion of this prototype is a testament to the power of user-centered design and iterative development.
